Privacy notice

What data this website collects, why, for how long and what you can ask for, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). The Italian version prevails.

Who processes your data

Sabino Tupputi, Contrada Cervarolo snc, 72017 Ostuni (BR), Italy, who runs Masseria Bel Cortile and, as Azienda Agricola Bel Cortile di Sabino Tupputi (VAT number 02780510745), sells L'Ogliarola olive oil. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].

What data, and why

  • Availability request: name, email, dates, number of guests and message, to reply and organise your stay (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Olive oil order: name, email, phone, shipping address, quantity and notes, to confirm and ship the order (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Review: rating, text, the name you choose to display, the month of your stay or order and, if you say so, who you travelled with. We publish it only with your consent, given with the tick box in the form (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time and the review is removed.
  • Protection against repeated submissions: when you send a review we keep an encrypted fingerprint of the network you send it from, instead of your IP address, to stop mass submissions (Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interest). The key that encrypts it stays on the server.

Giving us this data is up to you: without your name and email, though, we cannot reply or ship your order, and without your consent we cannot publish your review.

The website uses no profiling cookies and no analytics.

Who sees it

We read it ourselves to handle your request. The website relies on two providers acting on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, review storage, delivery of form emails) and Google (the mailbox receiving requests, and the web fonts loaded by the pages). They may process data outside the European Union with the safeguards required by the GDPR (EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). A published review can be read by anyone visiting the website, with the name you chose.

How long

  • Requests and orders: as long as needed to handle them, then only as required by law, for example tax rules.
  • Published reviews: as long as they stay on the website; if you ask us to remove yours, we delete it.
  • Unpublished reviews: deleted 30 days after the decision not to publish them, or after 60 days if nobody has approved them yet.
  • Encrypted network fingerprint: two days at most, with an automatic daily clean-up.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a readable format and withdraw your consent for the review, by writing to [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
